“Let everything take second place to our care of our children, our bringing them up to the discipline and instruction of the Lord. If from the beginning we teach them to love true wisdom, they will have great wealth and glory than riches can provide.”

–Saint John Chrysostom, Homilies on Ephesians, Homily 21

All for Christ

We are ardently committed to a Christ-centered environment and pedagogy that encourages each child to seek the Lord and love those things He has given us that are true, good, and beautiful.

Training in Virtue

In contrast to secular education we focus on the whole person, acquainting the soul with Christian virtue, wisdom, and aged knowledge that remains true regardless of modern mores and cultural trends.

What is Classical Christian Education?

“Classical Christian education (CCE) is a time-tested educational system which establishes a biblical worldview (called Paideia), incorporates methods based on natural phases of child development, cultivates the seven Christian virtues, trains students in reasoning through the Trivium (Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric), and engages children in “the great conversation” through the historical Great Books.”

What is the Trivium?

The Trivium are the liberal arts that involve language. And we must not forget that, according to ancient and medieval understanding, the ability to use language goes hand in hand with the ability to reason and think; his ability to reason and speak sets man apart from animals. The curriculum of the trivium is grammar, logic, and rhetoric. Classical schools implement these three in a variety of ways.

Grammar K-6

In the GRAMMAR stage, grades K-6, small children love reciting facts, nursery rhymes, and songs. Children naturally memorize vast amounts of information at this stage though they may not be able to fully conceptualize or understand the depths of the subject. We capitalize cognitively during this developmental phase by implementing games, activities, songs, and chants focused on fact recollection for an already curious, thirsty, and excited young mind.

Logic 7-8

The DIALECTIC stage, grades 7-8, junior high learners are naturally argumentative. This is where they begin to think critically, reason and explore logic. They learn to understand syllogisms and how to construct sound arguments and recognize fallacious ones. Teens are going to argue anyway. Our goal is to harness that energy to argue soundly and for things worth arguing for such as truth, justice, and righteousness.

Rhetoric 9-12

Students in the RHETORIC stage, grades 9-12, are more attuned to expressing themselves well, so it is the natural age to teach the art of persuasion. Using Grammar and Logic from the former stages we now teach how to comprise and deliver their thoughts, ideas, and solutions preparing them to interact with and improve a complex world and society in desperate need of Goodness, Truth, and Beauty.

What people are saying…

Erica M.

“We took a chance on CCA for our child’s Kindergarten education and we have been more than thrilled with the growth she’s made this school year. We knew that it was a risk sending our child to a school that was just starting, however the risk has certainly paid off. Our child has flourished in this safe space and we have the greatest peace of mind knowing she’s in the care of individuals who genuinely care for her entire being.”

“Our family felt CCA not only fulfilled their commitment to educate our children rightly, but also passionately pursued excellence in all areas a Private Christian School should thrive toward. We love this school!”

“I have 3 children at CCA and soon to be 4. This is a great school academically, where the students are highly valued. This is a great school spiritually, where God’s Word is honored by the staff and diligently taught to the students. As a side note, this school takes the security of the children very seriously.”
